Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What types of photography services do you offer?
I offer a wide range of services including Personal Branding Sessions, Beach & Lifestyle Sessions, Business & Corporate Headshots, Commercial Product Photography, Food & Beverage Photography, E-commerce Product Photography, and Travel & Tourism / Hotel & Airbnb Photography.

  2. How far in advance should I book a session?
To ensure we can secure your preferred date and location, I recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance. For more complex shoots (e.g., product + styling + models) a longer lead time may be beneficial.

  3. Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in La Jolla / San Diego, California. I also travel for shoots—if you’re located elsewhere or have a destination vision, we can discuss travel logistics and fees.

  4. What happens during the planning phase of a shoot?
We begin with a discovery call to clarify your goals, brand story and visual style. Then we collaboratively choose location(s), wardrobe and props (if needed), create a shot-list, and prepare you with a pre-shoot guide so that you feel confident and prepared on the day.

  5. What should I wear or bring to the shoot?
Choose outfits that reflect your brand personality and make you feel like your best self—not just what you think you “should” wear. Bring 2–3 outfit options if time allows. For product or lifestyle shoots, think about props or styling elements that align with your brand (colours, textures, context).
(You might note: see our “What to Wear / What to Bring” prep guide for more detail.)

  6. How many images will I receive and what is the typical delivery timeframe?
The number of final edited images depends on the package you select. After the shoot, I typically deliver the curated, edited images within 1–3 weeks. Rush delivery may be available for an added fee—please let me know if you have a launch or deadline.

  7. What usage rights do I get for the images?
Your final images are delivered with the rights for you to use them across your website, social media, marketing materials and e-commerce platforms. If you require additional licensing (advertising, print runs, re-sale), we can discuss custom licensing terms.

  8. Do you offer add-ons or styling services?
Yes — if desired, I offer add-ons such as wardrobe styling, model casting/coordination, location scouting, prop sourcing, and full-service production support for commercial or e-commerce shoots. These can be added to your package as needed.

  9. What if the weather or location conditions aren’t ideal on the day?
For outdoor or on-location shoots, I monitor weather forecasts and we’ll plan accordingly. If weather prevents us from achieving the intended look, we’ll reschedule or adapt the shoot location. I’ll keep you informed ahead of time.

  10. How do I prepare and make the most of our session?
I will send you a detailed pre-shoot guide that covers what to expect on the shoot day, how to choose wardrobe, how to bring props or products, suggested timing, and how to relax in front of the camera. Preparation ensures you feel confident, authentic and aligned with your brand’s story.
